We are thrilled to share with you some exciting news from the FIATA RAME 2023 conference that took place in Kampala, Uganda from August 1 to 3. Viaservice LTD, the provider of The Container Guarantee Solution, a business-friendly alternative to container deposits, was among the proud sponsors and exhibitors of this prestigious event that brought together freight forwarders, logistics service providers, and other stakeholders from the region and beyond.
The conference was graced by the presence of the guest of honor, Hon. Amelia Kyambadde, the Minister of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives of Uganda, who officially opened the event and commended the role of FIATA and its members in facilitating trade and enhancing regional integration. The FIATA president, Mr. Basil Pietersen, also delivered a keynote address that highlighted the challenges and opportunities facing the freight forwarding industry in Africa and the Middle East.
The Container Guarantee Solution is a unique service that we offer to our clients who want to ship their goods using containers. Normally, when you ship your goods using containers, you have to pay a deposit to the container owner, which is refunded to you after the container is returned in good condition. However, this process can be very time-consuming and costly, as you have to wait for the refund, deal with currency fluctuations, and face the risk of losing your deposit if the container is lost or damaged.
Our Container Guarantee Solution eliminates these problems by covering the liability of the container owner in case of loss or damage. Instead of paying a deposit, you pay a small fee to us, and we guarantee the container owner that we will compensate them if anything happens to the container. This way, you can save time and money by avoiding the hassle of paying and waiting for deposits. You can also improve your cash flow and operational efficiency by having more control over your shipping process.
Viaservice Limited is excited to reveal that we will launch our Container Guarantee Solution in Kenya, a key market in Africa, in the next few weeks. Our solution will be operational in the ports of Mombasa and Lamu, where we have established partnerships with some of the leading container owners and shipping lines. We guarantee that our solution will offer a great value proposition to our Kenyan clients, who will benefit from faster and cheaper shipping services. Contact us today to learn more about our solution and how it can help you.
We were honored to receive an award and a certificate from FIATA RAME for our contribution to the development of the freight forwarding industry in the region. We are grateful for this recognition and we look forward to continuing our collaboration with FIATA RAME and its members.
One of the highlights of the conference was the presentation by our Regional Managing Director, Mr. John Mathenge, who shared his insights and expertise on how our Container Guarantee Solution can help freight forwarders and logistics service providers overcome the challenges posed by container deposits and improve their cash flow and operational efficiency. Mr. Mathenge also answered some questions from the audience and received positive feedback from the participants. He said: “We are proud to offer our Container Guarantee Solution as a game-changer for the freight forwarding industry in Africa. Our solution is designed to meet the needs and expectations of our clients, who want to ship their goods without worrying about container deposits. We believe that our solution is not only beneficial for our clients but also for the environment, as it reduces the carbon footprint of shipping by encouraging the reuse of containers.”
We would like to thank FIATA RAME for organizing such a successful conference and for inviting us to be part of it. We would also like to thank all the attendees who visited our booth and expressed their interest in our solution. We hope to see you again at the next FIATA RAME conference in 2024!
